1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SpeakNord ("the Service"), available at speaknord.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. SpeakNord is operated by AiFlex, Inc. ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

SpeakNord is an AI-powered Finnish language learning platform offering interactive lessons, vocabulary practice, pronunciation assessment, spaced repetition reviews, speed challenges, YKI mock tests, and conversational AI tutoring. The Service is available through web browsers at speaknord.com.

3. Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

SpeakNord offers Free, Plus, and Pro subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited). By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

• Free plan: Limited daily usage at no cost. No payment required.
• Plus plan ($6.99/month or yearly equivalent): Increased daily limits and access to pronunciation assessment.
• Pro plan ($12.99/month or yearly equivalent): Highest daily limits, unlimited key features, and YKI mock tests.

Prices are in USD and may vary by region. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and handles all payment processing, tax calculation, and invoicing. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.

5. Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.

You have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason and receive a full refund. For full details, see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Share your account with others or create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Submit harmful, abusive, or offensive content through any input mechanism
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

7. AI-Generated Content

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate lessons, exercises, feedback, and conversational responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The Service is a learning aid and does not replace professional language instruction or certified examination results. YKI mock test scores are estimates and do not guarantee results on official YKI examinations.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and technology of SpeakNord are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written consent.

9. User Content

When you use the Service (e.g., voice recordings, chat messages), you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service (e.g., pronunciation assessment, AI tutoring). We do not claim ownership of your content. Audio recordings are processed in real time and are not permanently stored unless required for your learning history.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakNord and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
